Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

You may use basic features without an account. For an account you must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at security@hugmytools.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, remain inactive for 12+ months, or are used for fraudulent purposes.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload or process files that infringe third-party intellectual property rights
• Upload malware, viruses, or any malicious code
• Upload content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or under applicable international law
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or create derivative products from our Service
• Circumvent rate limits, tier restrictions, or authentication mechanisms
• Use the Service to train machine learning models without written permission
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service

We reserve the right to remove any content and terminate any account that violates these rules without notice.

You retain all intellectual property rights to the files you upload. By uploading a file you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process that file solely for the purpose of delivering the requested operation to you.

We do not read, index, analyze for advertising, or share your file contents. Files are auto-deleted according to your tier's retention period (see our FAQ). We do not sell your data.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Paddle. Prices are listed on the Pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time; you retain access until the end of the current billing period. We offer a pro-rated refund within 7 days of a charge if the service was not meaningfully used in that period. Contact support@hugmytools.com.

Free-tier users receive monthly allowances for certain premium operations (OCR, background removal, AI tools, etc.). These allowances are set by the Company and may change. Beginning on June 11, 2027 (the "Anniversary Date"), free-tier premium allowances will transition to lower levels as the platform exits its startup growth phase. You will receive 30 days' notice before this change.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESULTS WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE OPERATORS OF HUGMYTOOLS.COM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

The Service is not directed at children under 13 years of age. By using the Service you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and 18 you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information without consent may contact us at privacy@hugmytools.com.

HugMyTools.com respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. If you believe that content processed or stored through our Service infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to legal@hugmytools.com with the following:

• A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
• Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on our Service
• Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email)
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
• Your physical or electronic signature

We will respond to valid DMCA notices promptly and disable access to the infringing material. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated. Counter-notices may be submitted in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts competent for any dispute arising from these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights you may have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
