Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with HugMyTools. This policy explains when you are eligible for a refund, how to request one, and how long processing takes. If you have any questions, contact us at billing@hugmytools.com.

1. Free Tier

The Free tier is provided at no charge. No payment is taken and therefore no refunds apply to the Free tier.

2. Paid Plans — 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you subscribe to a paid plan (Starter, Pro, or Business) and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of the initial purchase date.

To be eligible your request must:

  • Be submitted within 7 days of the charge date
  • Be your first refund request on that account
  • Come from the account email address associated with the subscription

Send your request to billing@hugmytools.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include your account email and the reason for the request.

3. Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing cycle. Refunds are not issued for renewal charges if the renewal has already processed and more than 48 hours have passed. If you did not intend to renew, contact us within 48 hours of the renewal charge and we will review your case.

To avoid future renewals, cancel your subscription at any time from your Account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.

4. Annual Plans

Annual plan purchases are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of purchase. After 7 days, annual plans are non-refundable. You may downgrade to a monthly plan or cancel at renewal.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are not available in the following cases:

  • More than 7 days have passed since the original charge
  • The account was suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service
  • The refund request is for API usage overages or add-on purchases
  • A refund was already issued on the same account within the past 12 months

6. How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method (credit card, debit card, etc.) within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. We process refunds through Stripe. You will receive a confirmation email when the refund is initiated.

Once a refund is issued, your account is immediately downgraded to the Free tier and any paid features, cloud vault files, and API access are removed.

7. Disputes & Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We resolve billing issues quickly and a chargeback may result in your account being suspended.

8. Enterprise & Custom Plans

Refund terms for Enterprise or custom-contract plans are governed by the individual contract signed between RISI Technologies Inc. and the customer. Contact enterprise@hugmytools.com for assistance.
